LA EPOCA Department Store

La Epoca is a department store located in the newly thriving area of Downtown Miami. The store neighbors the well-known, historic, and prestigious Alfred Dupont building that welcomes a decent number of private parties, galas, and shows during the year. Situated on 200 and Flagler street, La Epoca is the most visited store since December 2005. According to a local female shopper, “It is easy to enjoy shopping in a 3 floors building. The place is greatly organized and everything is in its place like it should be. It is a pleasure to feel the passion, nostalgia and professional experience behind each person that works there.” The store has attracted a wide variety of guests including locals, tourists, and even some celebrities have shopped in the Palace of Fashion.

This store, covering three expensive floors and nearly 24,000 square feet of the building, sets an atmosphere symbolizing the revitalization of Flagler Street in Downtown. 

Determination and realization is what Tony Alonso is all about. He is a courageous man who first started his entrepreneurship with a tiny local store in La Havana, Cuba. As an adolescent, he dreamed greatly and was strongly determined in moving up in the clothing industry.

As I stood on the street facing the store, I began to feel the urge of excitement to explore this place. There is no doubt that if you are one for shopping, you will be mesmerized as soon as you enter the large and appealing entrance of La Epoca.
